On Living With Cats and Dogs
In the fullness of time Sam went to “Pet Heaven”. About a year later we adopted Maggie. Now Maggie was interesting-looking dog. Someone asked me what kind of dog she was. I described her as a miniature, short-haired German Shepherd Pointer because that was what she looked like. She was the fastest dog we ever owned. She could leap up and kiss my wife on command. Eventually, she and Callie became friends but not as friendly as Sam and Callie had been. Callie died from a brain tumor and for the longest time Maggie was our only pet. We moved to Virginia in 2002 and of course, Maggie came with us. By then she was 13 or 14 years old. In 2003 we adopted our first cat, Chloe. She had been rescued by our niece, Gabrielle. Chloe was a stray who was living at the Scottsville
We adopted Nina a couple of months after Lilli’s death. Again, we went to the same shelter. They had so many cats available for adoption that we couldn’t decide. Then we saw this little cat alone in a small cage who meowed so plaintively that I said, “We’ll take her”. Nina had belonged to someone. She had been spayed and was trained (as best as cats can be trained). While she’s waiting to be fed she sits so

Boycott ABC & Disney
ABC News and its corporate parent, The Disney Corporation, have decided to become part of the Obama propaganda apparatus. By ceding the Obama administration an hour and a half of primetime coverage for their health care initiative ABC News has chosen to forgo their role as the "watchdog" that the press used to be. Sean Hannity was right when he said that we will remember that 2008 was the year that journalism in America died.
It's time for all patriots to respond to this travesty. The only threat that large consumer product corporations respond to is a loss of revenue. Hit them in the pocketbook. It's time for us to boycott ABC, Disney and all of the sponsers that support this corporation. Refrain from watching any ABC or Disney TV programming. Boycott all movies. Refuse to buy any Disney merchandise. Finally, refuse to buy merchandise that is advertised on any of their programming. If enough people step up and respond to this action Disney will back down.

Government of Men
The Supreme Court has let us down. By passing on hearing the Chrysler case they have given up to the Obama thugocracy. "Chicago-style" political arm-twisting works if you have no guts to confront the thugs. We have now gone down the road to relativism and thrown out the objective reading of the laws. What's next? I look forward to hearing from anyone on this subject.

A Government of Laws not Men
We are now at a key moment in our history. Will the Supreme Court overrule the findings of the Bankruptcy Court in the Chrysler case or will they declinbe to hear the case? By overruling the trial judge and the Appeals Court the Supreme Court will signal to the Obama Administration that their brief period of "thug rule" will be coming to an end. The court will signal that the Bankruptcy Code is a viable means of reorganizing companies in economic distress rather than an extreme administration which is seeking to pick winners and losers. I look forward to hear from any of you who either agree or disagree with me.
